I am probably the only person in the world who dislikes tahini. Even in hummus. So here is a tahini-free hummus recipe – let me know what you think!
Prep: 5 mins
- 240g chickpeas
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp cumin
- juice of 1/2 lemon
- 50ml-75ml olive oil
- If using chickpeas in water then simply drain them and add to a food processor along with the rest of the ingredients.
- If using dried chickpeas then you will need to soak them overnight or for 12 hours.
- Simply blend all the ingredients, starting with 50ml olive oil and add more until desired consistency.
